Rolla Outfitters is located in the southeastern part of the Texas Panhandle. We have over 10,000 acres for clients to hunt whitetail, mule deer, hogs, predators, and dove. We offer lodging, guides, and transportation for our clients. We are not a resort for vacations. Our place is for hunters who enjoy the outdoors and love a challenging hunt. We DO NOT offer canned hunts or barrel shoots. All game is free roaming and native to our area. We do not guarantee our clients will leave our ranch with a trophy in hand. We do guarantee they will leave with an experience of a life time.

The Scendero Ranch is located in the South Zone of the Texas Dove Hunting Map issued by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Hunters will enjoy hunting on the ranch. We have a rich diversity of native vegetation and cover, tree lines, fence rows, water and agriculture fields. Hunts are by the half day and seasons and prices may be found on the pricing page of our site. Hunters are required to have a valid Texas Hunting license with the migratory bird endorsement and a white wing stamp is recommended.

STHO has exclusive hunting rights to over 30,000 acres of managed dove fields. We plant sunflowers, milo, and sesame each year to attract doves to our fields. Many of the fields we hunt are located less than 10 minutes from town and offer excellent hunting opportunities both morning and evening.

Stasney's Cook Ranch is 24,000 acres of premium hunting habitat managed intensively for whitetail deer, hogs, dove, Rio Grande turkey & quail. The ranch received the Texas Parks and Wildlife Managed Lands stewardship award in 2006 and continues to work closely with the TPW to improve wildlife habitat. All hunters must execute a release in the form provided by Stasney's Cook Ranch and possess a valid Texas hunting license before any hunting may occur. All game laws and limits are strictly obeyed. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all hunts. No hunt is booked until the deposit has been deposited. Visits to the ranch are by appointment only.

Texas dove hunting is one of a kind and can vary from morning, white-wing, and collard dove all in a single hunt. Great food crops and plenty of nesting areas have led to great seasons in recent years, with no signs of changing in the near future. Day hunts consist of meeting before hunting hours to head to the field to setup in high traffic fields for some great wing shooting.

We have over 2000 acres to hunt. Wheat, Sunflowers, Dove Weed, tilled crop fields, roosting areas, stock tanks. The WingSport Depot offers group dove hunts. These are private hunts for parties of 5 -30 hunters. We have over 20 dove fields located north west (Young, Clay, Montague Counties) of DFW. After extensive scouting, we locate where the dove are concentrated and put our hunting parties in these locations. Our hunts are day trips only, we provide a guide with your hunting party to help make your experience more enjoyable.

Everyone has heard about the West Coast and the East Coast, but if you are serious about your waterfowl hunting, you need to find out about the Third Coast, the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Goose hunting is our specialty, but we also offer duck, dove, crane, and quail hunts. Hunts take place on over 30,000 acres of private land in the famed Rice Belt of Texas! Afternoon duck hunts take place on the majestic Matagorda Bay where thousands of ducks winter every season. We offer a variety of goose and duck guided hunts and can customize the perfect adventure including corporate groups.

The mourning dove is a medium-sized, slender dove approximately 31 cm (12 in) in length. Mourning doves weigh 112–170 g (4.0–6.0 oz), usually closer to 128 g (4.5 oz).[20] The elliptical wings are broad, and the head is rounded. Its tail is long and tapered ("macroura" comes from the Greek words for "large" and "tail"[21]). Mourning doves have perching feet, with three toes forward and one reversed. The legs are short and reddish colored. The beak is short and dark, usually a brown-black hue.[8]

Dove hunts are a great opportunity to start off the hunting season. The days will be getting shorter, and the temperature is beginning to cool and your trigger finger is starting to get itchy..You will be promised loads of fast flying dove, and plenty of shots. We have dozens of "honey holes" where the dove love to congregate. Water holes, Sunflower fields, Milo fields, and tree rows are just to name a few. If you are looking for some fast action to get your heart pumping and blow the cobwebs out of your shotgun before duck, quail, pheasant and goose season, then a dove trip is for you. This may not be Mexico or Argentina, but as for the dove hunting it has to be close.

West Texas is the end of the Great Plains migration for millions of mourning doves. Additionally, the towns located in this region support huntable populations of white wing doves that live annually around the area while roosting in the transplanted oaks and pecan trees in town. The YT Ranch provides guided dove shoots, morning and evening. Services includes: guides, bird cleaning, all meals, and lodging. On the YT Ranch there is a three room bunkhouse with eight various sized beds, two full baths, full kitchen, central heating and cooling.
