Florida Dove Hunting

Close to Jacksonville, we have access to some of the best bird hunting in Northeast Florida, with 4,400 of acres of prime Quail and Turkey cover. You have the option of seasonal memberships that allow members to hunt deer, turkey and hogs in season as well as dove shoots based of availability of birds.

These areas are managed for waterfowl. We have Japanese Millet, Chufas, Rice and Mud Plantains as well as Smartweed and Walter's Millet planted in these areas (pictured to the upper right) which we flood during the duck season. Hydrilla and Coontail are utilized for aquatics in the deeper water areas. The areas have their own water control structures and pumps for water control. We have a hunter minimum of two persons and can arrange hunts for groups as large as twenty-four persons. Our hunts are out of pre-existing blinds over decoys. We have dozens of blinds located in excellent areas which we rotate the shooting pressure. Our goal is not to shoot a blind more than once per-week.

Our dove hunts are held over 100 acre cultivated field in which we plant a variety of millet and sun flowers to enhance your wingshooting skills. Dove shoots also depend on the seasonal migration. They take place on Sunday afternoons and offer fast and furious wingshooting. This shoot includes our famous southern wild hog barbecue. Daily bag limit is 12 doves. We recommend 2 3/4", #7.5 lead shot. Private shoots only please contact Rick.

Dove and Snipe hunts are perfect for hunters of all ages. Our property is superb for wingshooting.

Dove hunts are wild birds. All Florida Dove hunts are on planted fields of brown top millet, jap millet, dove proso, corn, soy beans, milo and sunflowers. Dove hunting season varies. Please inquire regarding dates. Please book early. Group Dove Hunts: 20 acre or larger dove fields available for group dove hunts by the season which consist of all 3 phases

Dove and Snipe are available on site as regulated by the State of Florida and availability is controlled by the current conditions.

Quail & Dove Hunts: Large Population of wild birds makes makes for a great hunt. Guides and dogs are provided, or you can bring your own dogs. 1/2 day or full. We will offer Dove throughout all three phases in Florida. Always plenty of birds. Bring the family, clients or just come with friends. Dove hunts have always been the social event of the south. Dove season begins in September and we are taking group reservation for your Dove hunts now. Book early so you can get your spot. Dove Hunts will be hosted on private land and lunch will be provided. We look forward to seeing you in the field.
